Nigerian singer Wizkid has reignited the supremacy debate with Burna Boy after his closing performance at Afro Nation Portugal.

Burna Boy headlined the festival's opening night on July 3, alongside South African star Tyla.

Fans praised Burna Boy on social media, claiming organisers gave him the opening slot because he carries more star power than Wizkid and other acts on the bill.

Wizkid appeared to respond midway into his set on the festival's closing night, July 5.

The Starboy singer said he was billed to close the show after Burna Boy and others, because he is the best.

"Big Wiz is here. This is why you save the best for the last, baby," he said.

The remark has since gone viral, with fans reading it as a direct response to the ongoing debate over the performance order.

Wizkid and Burna Boy fell out a few months ago after Burna Boy attacked Wizkid's official disc jockey, DJ Tunez, at a nightclub in Lagos.
