Peller, Carter Efe earn Best International Streamer nominations at 2026 streamer awards
Nigerian content creators Peller and Carter Efe have been nominated for Best International Streamer at the 2026 Streamer Awards, placing them alongside three other creators competing for the award.
The nominees were announced on October 16, with Indian streamer Ashswag, Polish creator Young Multi and Cuban streamer Staryuuki completing the five-person shortlist.
The 2026 Streamer Awards ceremony is scheduled for November 12 in Los Angeles, United States, with the event expected to be streamed on Twitch and YouTube. Voting is reported to account for 70 per cent of the final result, while judges' scores will make up the remaining 30 per cent. The reported voting deadline is October 31.
Peller, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, built his audience through livestreams on TikTok and other platforms. He is known for his energetic broadcasts, humorous exchanges and interactions with fellow creators. His nomination adds to his growing profile in Nigeria's online entertainment industry.
Carter Efe, whose real name is Oderhowo Joseph Efe, became widely known through comedy skits and music before expanding into livestreaming. His song Machala, released in 2022, gained attention for its tribute to Afrobeats star Wizkid.
The comedian and streamer attracted further attention in December 2025 when he hosted Davido on a Twitch livestream. The broadcast reportedly peaked at more than 80,000 concurrent viewers and helped increase his following on the platform.
Carter Efe's Twitch account was suspended days after the broadcast for an alleged violation of the platform's rules, although the specific reason was not publicly established in the reports at the time. He later returned to the platform.
The Streamer Awards is an annual event recognising livestreamers and online creators across categories covering gaming, music, variety content and other forms of streaming. The 2026 edition features 37 categories.
Peller and Carter Efe will compete against Ashswag, Young Multi and Staryuuki for Best International Streamer, with the winner set to be announced at the November 12 ceremony.
