Afrobeats singer Wizkid has reacted angrily to a recent comment by music veteran 2Baba, who described Burna Boy as Nigeria’s number one artist on the global stage.

The issue began after 2Baba shared his personal opinion during an interview where he spoke about Nigeria’s famous “Big 3” — Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido.

When asked who he believed was leading internationally, the veteran singer chose Burna Boy.
Wizkid did not hide his displeasure.

In a Snapchat post, he took a swipe at 2Baba, calling him an “old man” and suggesting he should focus on settling family matters instead of judging today’s music scene.
“At least make peace with your family first before having opinions about music,” Wizkid wrote, adding that he would not let the comment slide.

This reaction follows Wizkid’s earlier claim, made months ago, where he declared himself Nigeria’s top Afrobeats artist, a statement that already divided fans online.

The latest exchange has reopened the long-running debate about who truly leads Nigeria’s global music movement, with supporters of Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido once again clashing across social media.

For now, the “Big 3” argument continues to dominate conversations in the Afrobeats community, proving that the rivalry is far from cooling down.
