Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has revealed that his father has yet to accept his career in the film industry despite his growing success.

Speaking during an interview on WithChude with Chude Jideonwo, the actor said his father is aware of reports about his work but chooses not to believe them. He explained that this has shaped how his career is viewed within his family.

Arukwe added that his mother initially struggled to support his decision because of her husband’s stance. However, he said she later changed her position and began to accept his path.

“My father doesn’t know that I’m an actor; he has heard, but he doesn’t want to believe. My mum was slow to adapt because of her husband, but she later came around,” he said.

The Imo State-born actor is known for his roles in several Nigerian films and television productions, where he has built a strong presence in the industry.
