Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has suggested her divorce from estranged husband, actor Frederick Leonard, has been concluded.

Peggy shared a brief message on her Instagram Story, thanking God. "Thank you, Jesus. It is done," she wrote.

She also reposted a congratulatory message from colleague Angela Eguavoen, who wrote, "My queen is free!! Hallelujah."

The update comes months after Peggy accused Frederick of having an affair with a married woman with children. She alleged he repeatedly delayed their divorce proceedings by failing to appear in court after being served legal papers.

Peggy had shared a video showing Frederick alongside his alleged lover at a public event, urging him not to miss another customary court hearing.

Frederick had earlier hinted at a new chapter in his life while marking his birthday, saying he'd found a happier version of himself. Around the same time, Peggy posted that she had chosen herself, a message many fans linked to the actor.

The pair got married in a traditional ceremony in Asaba, Delta State, on November 19, 2022.
