Nigerian record producer Tempoe has received Spotify's Billion Streams Plaque for his contribution to CKay's global hit, Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah), after the song surpassed one billion streams on the platform. The producer shared photos of the plaque on his verified X account on Wednesday, celebrating the milestone.

Released in 2019, Love Nwantiti was produced by Tempoe and performed by CKay. The song found global success in 2021 after gaining traction on TikTok, before climbing charts across Europe, North America, Africa and other markets. It went on to become the first solo Nigerian song to cross one billion streams on Spotify.

Tempoe, born Michael Chigozie Alagwu, is one of Nigeria's most sought-after producers. Beyond Love Nwantiti, his production credits include Omah Lay's Godly and Soso, Joeboy's Alcohol (Sip), and Victony's Soweto. In 2022, he received a BMI London Award for his contribution to Love Nwantiti, a song that has remained one of Afrobeats' biggest global crossover records.
