Seun Kuti, VeryDarkMan unfollow each other on Instagram, spark feud rumours
Nigerian singer Seun Kuti and social media personality VeryDarkMan have unfollowed each other on Instagram, fuelling speculation of a fallout between them. The reason for the move remains unclear, but tensions appeared to rise after a recent social media post by the singer.
Seun Kuti shared a message mocking VeryDarkMan’s fanbase, known as “Ratel”, calling them “rats” and questioning their identity. The post quickly drew reactions online and added to suggestions of growing disagreement between both men.
The development also comes as VeryDarkMan continues his legal dispute with businessman Blord, who was recently granted bail. The situation has further intensified attention around the unfolding drama.
VeryDarkMan had earlier supported Seun Kuti during his disagreement with singer Wizkid, accusing him of disrespecting the legacy of Seun’s late father, Fela Kuti.
The controversy later deepened after photos surfaced showing Seun Kuti and VeryDarkMan at Fela Kuti’s graveside performing a ritual. The act reportedly involved pouring libations and slaughtering rams, which sparked mixed reactions among fans.
While some described the act as cultural homage, others linked it to the ongoing feud. VeryDarkMan, however, said the visit was personal and meant to honour Fela Kuti’s spirit and legacy.
