Rema and Selena Gomez's "Calm Down" remix is closing in on 1.9 billion streams on Spotify, with the platform currently showing approximately 1.899 billion plays for the collaboration.

Originally released as a single from Rema's debut album "Rave & Roses" in February 2022, the remix featuring Gomez dropped on 25 August of that year. It was the first African artist-led track to join Spotify's Billions Club, a milestone the platform confirmed in September 2023.

On the Billboard Hot 100, the song peaked at No. 3, the highest-charting Afrobeats track in the chart's history. It also topped the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart for 45 weeks at one point, eventually extending that record to 58 weeks.

On Billboard's Pop Airplay chart, "Calm Down" set a record for the most weeks spent on the survey, 64 weeks, surpassing Harry Styles' "As It Was", making it one of the longest-running airplay records in the chart's 31-year history.

The song earned diamond certification in France, and Poland also certified it diamond. In the UK, it peaked at No. 3 on the Singles Chart and spent 27 non-consecutive weeks in the top ten.

For Rema, born Divine Ikubor, it remains his biggest streaming record to date. For Gomez, it is her second-highest-peaking Hot 100 hit, behind only "Lose You to Love Me."
