Nigerian singer Qing Madi has made fresh allegations against her former record label, claiming she was subjected to legal battles, document forgery and repeated attempts to disrupt her music career.

The singer made the claims during a TikTok Live session, where she revisited her ongoing dispute with the label behind her early career. According to her, the conflict escalated beyond contractual disagreements and eventually led to court action. She alleged that the label sued her for millions of dollars but failed in its legal challenge.

In the livestream, Qing Madi claimed that a former associate forged her signature and attempted to gain control over aspects of her music business. She also alleged that efforts were made to block the success of some of her projects, including her song Pepper Me, which she said was removed before being restored after legal intervention.

The 19-year-old singer suggested that the problems did not end after the court proceedings. According to her, new obstacles emerged even after she successfully challenged the takedown of the song, forcing her to continue defending her work and career.

The allegations come weeks after the artiste publicly accused her former label, JTon Music, of orchestrating the removal of Pepper Me from streaming platforms. At the time, she claimed the label had previously filed a $1 million lawsuit against her and lost the case. She also alleged that the takedown was an attempt to frustrate the song's growing success.

The dispute has reignited conversations about the relationship between young artistes and record labels in Nigeria's music industry. Qing Madi, who rose to fame with hits such as See Finish and Ole, has repeatedly maintained that her focus remains on making music despite the legal and professional challenges she says she has faced.

As of the time of reporting, there has been no public response from the former label regarding the latest allegations made during the TikTok Live session.
