Pastor Adeboye Says: Be Careful of Men Who Talk Too Sweet and Praise You Too Much
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has cautioned women to be wary of men who rely heavily on flattering words, describing such behaviour as potentially deceptive.
He shared the warning while recounting an experience from his younger years, when he admitted to using poetic compliments to impress a woman he admired. According to him, the encounter ended unexpectedly when the woman abruptly walked away.
Adeboye said he only later understood her reaction after becoming born again. He explained that constant praise, especially when centred on physical appearance, can signal insincerity.
Urging women to be alert, the cleric advised them to distance themselves from men who speak excessively about their looks. He stressed that such situations should not be entertained, but avoided.
