The family of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has debunked reports claiming that his daughter, Shakirat “Kira” Taiwo, recently welcomed a baby boy following his death.

The claim began circulating online alongside photos and a video of Kira with her child, with some reports presenting the birth as a recent development and linking it to Ogogo’s death.

However, the footage is from February 2024, when Kira actually welcomed her first child, a baby boy. At the time, Ogogo celebrated the birth of his grandchild publicly.

The recent reports prompted members of the family to clarify that Kira did not recently give birth.

Ogogo’s daughter, Haleemah “Lima” Taiwo, addressed the reports, saying the family had received calls and messages from people seeking clarification about the viral claim.

Kira also reacted to the reports, urging the public to stop spreading unverified information about the family as they mourn the death of their father.

Ogogo died on August 23, 2026, and was buried in Ilaro, Ogun State, on August 24 according to Islamic rites.

The viral baby reports therefore refer to an event that occurred in 2024, not a new birth following the actor’s death.
