Officer Woos Denies Drug Trafficking Rumour, Gives Accusers 48-Hour Ultimatum
Skit maker Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi, popularly known as Officer Woos, has denied viral claims that he was arrested for drug trafficking and that he announced a colleague's death on his platform.
In a statement issued on June 19 through his lawyers, Versed Attorneys, Gbadamosi dismissed the allegations as completely false and fabricated.
The law firm said anonymous accounts on X pushed the claims as part of a coordinated campaign against their client.
One claim alleged Gbadamosi has been under arrest since 2025 over drug trafficking. The other claimed he used his official page to announce a close associate's death.
The statement rejected both, stating Gbadamosi has never been arrested or investigated for drug trafficking, and has never announced any colleague's, friend's, or associate's death on his platforms.
Versed Attorneys described the publications as a deliberate attempt to damage Gbadamosi's reputation and brand, citing Nigerian defamation law and the Cybercrimes Act.
The firm issued three demands: an immediate retraction from all responsible parties, a public apology on the same platforms where the claims appeared, and compliance within 48 hours.
It warned that failure to comply would trigger legal action, including civil defamation suits and formal complaints to law enforcement authorities.
Versed Attorneys urged fans, media, and the public to disregard the rumours and rely only on Gbadamosi's verified channels and the firm's official statements.
Officer Woos is one of Nigeria's most-followed skit makers, known for his comedic content across Instagram, X, and YouTube.
