Actress Lilian Esoro has cried out after her landlord raised her rent to N50 million.

In an emotional post, Lilian called it a 392.31% increase on her Banana Island home. “I can’t anymore,” she wrote. “What am I selling? I am already dealing with a lot this period.”

Lilian said her business received the same N50 million rent notice. “Like how?? Nigeria, Lagos you win! I AM DONE!! Zero Empathy, Zero Regulation.”

She described landlords as being “from hell” and questioned hiking rent on a house bought years ago with no renovations. “You go ahead and increase the rent just because you feel like it?? On what ground please?”

Lilian said the constant increases force business owners to move often or shut down, leaving staff jobless. “Never be the reason for someone else’s tears or misery just because you have the power now. Show a little empathy and kindness.”

She ended with, “God help me! God help us all.”
