Niniola to release ‘Without You’ tribute EP on Friday

Nigerian singer Niniola is set to release a tribute EP titled ‘Without You’ on Friday, August 21, 2026, in honour of her late husband and manager, Michael Chiedu Ndika.

The announcement comes days after the singer returned to music with ‘Raining (O Dun Mi)’,a tribute song dedicated to Ndika following his death in May.

Ndika, who was 44, was not only Niniola’s husband but also played a major role in her music career as her manager. He was also the CEO of NaijaReview, a multimedia platform focused on Afro-house and contemporary African music.

Niniola has continued to publicly mourn Ndika since his death, sharing messages about the difficulty of adjusting to life without him. His funeral was held in Lagos on June 5, following a service of songs the previous day.

Her release of ‘Raining (O Dun Mi)’ on August 14 marked her first major musical release since his death. The song reflected on her loss and the relationship she shared with Ndika.

The forthcoming album will extend that tribute into a full project, with its release scheduled for Friday.

Details of the EP’s tracklist, collaborators and producers have yet to be officially announced by Niniola or her team.
