Popular Nigerian gospel artist and comedian Woli Agba is in deep pain following the sudden death of his colleague, Toluwanisings.

Opening up about the tragic loss on social media, Woli Agba revealed that the late singer lived with a constant fear of Nigeria's unreliable healthcare system.

According to Woli Agba, Toluwanisings talked about the country's poor medical setup so many times that he seriously considered relocating abroad just to stay safe. Tragically, the very thing he worried about the most turned out to be his reality after he suddenly slumped and passed away.

Expressing his shock and confusion online, Woli Agba admitted that the sudden tragedy has left his mind completely messed up.

The gospel singer, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, reportedly slumped in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026. According to his personal assistant, Babadunni Gbolabo, efforts to secure medical attention took the singer’s team to between seven and eight hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Gbolabo said some facilities reportedly declined to admit the singer, while others cited the ongoing doctors’ strike. He also said attempts were made to revive Toluwanisings before and during the search for medical assistance. These details were reported by multiple Nigerian news outlets, although the circumstances have not been independently established by the singer’s family.

The family confirmed his death at the age of 41 but did not disclose an official cause. He was survived by his wife and two children.

Toluwanisings was known for energetic gospel songs, including A Very Big God and Onibuore. His music career gained wider attention after Woli Arole shared one of his songs online in 2021, helping introduce his work to a broader audience.

In July 2026, the singer and members of his music crew also survived a serious road incident involving a fully loaded trailer while returning from a ministration.

His death has therefore left colleagues and fans mourning not only a gospel minister but also a husband and father whose career was still developing. T
