The Nigerian DJ Association has temporarily banned DJs from playing any songs by **Burna Boy**. The directive applies to DJs in Nigeria and abroad. The decision followed a physical altercation between the Grammy-winning artiste and popular DJ **Tunez** (Michael Babatunde Adeyinka) at a nightclub in Lagos.

The clash reportedly started as a disagreement and escalated into a confrontation involving Burna Boy and members of his crew. Eyewitness accounts claimed DJ Tunez was on the receiving end of the attack.

In a press statement, the association declared its support for DJ Tunez. It stressed that “ALL DJs are EQUAL” and that it stands firmly against any form of discrimination or disrespect towards its members. The association announced: “Burna Boy’s music is temporarily out of any of our DJs’ playlists till further notice.” It added that a thorough investigation into the incident would be conducted.

Following the clash, Burna Boy took to his Instagram page and shared a video from his hotel room. Wrapped in towels, he was seen vibing and shading DJ Tunez by playing one of his songs while saying, “Ogbafia dey for ground,” as he pranced around.

DJ Tunez responded by describing Burna Boy’s action as “all signs of weakness.” He claimed it was him alone against Burna Boy and his crew, yet he stood his ground, which is why Burna Boy “collected well.”

The association urged all DJs to remain vigilant and respectful towards artists at events. The ban remains in place pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation. Neither Burna Boy nor DJ Tunez has issued further official statements on the matter.

The development has generated widespread reactions online, with many debating the appropriateness of the boycott and its potential impact on Burna Boy’s music in clubs and events across the country.
