Ghanaian Actress Beverly Afaglo Dies After Two-Year Cancer Battle
Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo has died after a long battle with cancer that lasted about two years. She was 42 years old.
Reports say she passed away on Saturday night at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema, Ghana.
Her death was confirmed by her husband, Eugene Baah, who is popularly known as Choirmaster and a member of the music group Praye.
According to information shared by her management, the actress had been battling breast cancer, which later became more severe over time. Despite her condition, she continued to receive treatment and remained hopeful throughout her health struggles.
Her management also revealed that Beverly Afaglo travelled abroad for medical care at some point before returning to Ghana to be closer to her children.
Even while undergoing treatment, she was said to have remained connected to the entertainment scene, occasionally attending industry events when her health allowed.
Beverly Afaglo was a well-known face in the Ghanaian film industry, appearing in several popular productions over the years and building a strong fan base across West Africa.
Her passing has triggered emotional reactions across social media, with fans, colleagues, and entertainers sharing tributes in her honour. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
