The family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has released official details for his burial and funeral ceremonies.

According to the announcement, the actor will be laid to rest on June 18, 2026, in his hometown, Arochukwu, Abia State.

The funeral activities are expected to begin in Lagos with a service of songs before other programmes continue in Abia State ahead of the final burial ceremony.

Family members described the late actor as a loving and kind-hearted person whose life touched many people within and outside the entertainment industry. They also thanked fans, friends, and colleagues for the support and prayers received since news of his death broke.

Reports also stated that guests attending some of the events are expected to appear in white as part of the funeral arrangements.

Alexx Ekubo was widely known in Nollywood for his roles in romantic and comedy films. His death sparked emotional reactions across social media, with many Nigerians mourning the actor and celebrating his contribution to the movie industry.
