Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has opened up on why he is not comfortable with people describing him as an underrated actor.

During a recent interview, the movie star explained that he never expected to reach his current level of success because of his educational background. According to him, he does not even have an O-level certificate, yet he has still managed to build a successful career in the Nigerian film industry.

Chatta said hearing the word “underrated” feels strange to him because he already sees himself as someone who has achieved more than he imagined possible.

The actor also reflected on working in the same industry with educated stars like Femi Adebayo and Odunlade Adekola. He noted that despite lacking formal qualifications, his movies are now watched and appreciated by people from different walks of life, including graduates and professors.

He added that he considers his journey a result of grace and hard work rather than being overlooked in the industry.

Ibrahim Chatta remains one of the most recognised faces in Yoruba Nollywood, known for his emotional acting style and strong delivery in movies.
