Kira Taiwo, daughter of the late veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has given birth to a baby boy.

She announced the news on social media, sharing photos of the newborn alongside a tribute to her late father. Kira described her son as her "daddy's carbon copy," pointing out the striking physical resemblance between the infant and the late movie icon.

The birth comes just days after the passing of her father, who died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at age 66 following a battle with stage-four cancer. Prior to his death, Ogogo’s daughters had revealed that his condition had been misdiagnosed and treated as an ulcer for nearly two decades before proper medical testing exposed advanced cancer.

Following his passing, Ogogo was laid to rest in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, in accordance with Islamic rites. The arrival of Kira's newborn brings a wave of comfort to the family, offering fans and loved ones a emotional symbol of renewal amidst their mourning.
