Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has spoken candidly about her past friendship with fellow star Genevieve Nnaji, revealing that their once-close relationship gradually drifted apart over time without any clear incident or public fallout.

Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Henshaw reflected on their early Nollywood years, noting that they were once very close, often attending events together and sharing a strong personal and professional bond. However, she explained that the connection slowly faded as communication between them reduced over time.

According to her, she still does not fully understand what led to the distance. She suggested that Genevieve may have become more withdrawn over the years or possibly developed a sense of mistrust that influenced her decision to pull back from people around her.

Henshaw also recalled that this was not the first time she had addressed their relationship, adding in a previous interview that Genevieve Nnaji often keeps to herself and tends to distance herself from friends and colleagues, which can leave others confused about what went wrong.

Despite the drift, Kate Henshaw emphasised that there is no bitterness between them. She expressed continued respect for Genevieve, describing her as someone who values privacy and prefers to live independently away from public attention.
