Nigerian influencer Simisanya has refuted claims that she attended her own wedding after allegedly snubbing fellow influencer Jarvis' wedding, describing the accusation as false and misleading.

The controversy began after a social media user questioned why Simisanya did not attend Jarvis' wedding but was present at her own ceremony. Responding via her Instagram Story, Simisanya stated that the claim was entirely untrue.

She explained that Jarvis was not at her wedding either and said there were personal reasons why she could not attend Jarvis' ceremony, adding that Jarvis was fully aware of those reasons.

To back up her denial, Simisanya challenged the accuser to produce evidence, writing that she would give the person ₦1 million if they could provide a video showing Jarvis at her wedding.

She also criticised the spread of unverified information on social media, saying such assumptions fuel unnecessary rumours and create tension among influencers.
