Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has responded to criticism that church leaders have failed to speak out about Nigeria's worsening security situation.

The cleric addressed the issue during a church service, where he rejected claims that pastors have remained silent while insecurity continues to affect different parts of the country. He argued that religious leaders have repeatedly raised concerns about governance and security over the years.

Ibiyeomie questioned why some individuals who were vocal during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan are no longer speaking with the same intensity today. According to him, critics often overlook previous interventions made by church leaders while accusing them of inaction.

The pastor maintained that men of God have consistently expressed their views on national challenges and should not be portrayed as indifferent to the country's problems. He insisted that religious leaders have been speaking on issues affecting Nigerians for years.

His remarks come amid growing public debate over the role of religious leaders in addressing national concerns, particularly insecurity, kidnappings and governance. In recent weeks, calls have increased for influential figures, including clerics, to take stronger public positions on the country's security challenges.
