'I Regret Going To Big Brother Naija' — Mercy Eke
Mercy Eke says fame from Big Brother Naija has come at a cost — her love life.
The BBNaija Season 4 winner confessed during an emotional interview on Toke Makinwa's podcast, reflecting on her repeated struggles to find a stable relationship since the show made her a household name.
"I regret going to Big Brother even though I love the benefits that come from it," she said.
Mercy said she falls in love easily, often to her own detriment. "I dey fall in love like mumu, now I said to myself that I want to marry, I want to marry, but it's not easy," she said.
She pointed to financial imbalance as a recurring pattern in her relationships, revealing she's supported multiple partners financially with little in return.
"I have dated guys that I have given a lot of money to, not one, not two, because they don't have," she said.
Despite the setbacks, Mercy said she remains open to marriage and building a family.
The interview also touched on other parts of her life post-fame, including her recent completion of a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Sunderland in the UK, a goal she said she almost gave up on partway through.
