Eniola Badmus has sparked reactions after claiming she doesn't know what it means to be broke.

The Nollywood actress and Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Social Events and Public Hearings made the statement during a red carpet interview at the premiere of The Return Of Omotara Johnson.

Asked how she handles financial downtime, Badmus said she couldn't relate.

"I do not even know the meaning of being broke," she said.

Pressed further on what being rich means to her, she described it as having "all the things that you want at your beck and call", comfort, unrestricted spending power, and the ability to impact other people's lives.

She tied wealth to personal success, adding that having money is what makes a person successful.
