Afrobeats singer Fola has fulfilled another of his mother’s wishes, surprising her with a new car after his music career began to gain traction.

The singer revealed that when things started improving for him, he asked his mother what she wanted him to provide for her. She named two things; a church building and a particular car.

Fola has now fulfilled both requests. He previously bought a land in Ibadan for his mother, where she went on to build her church. He has now added the car to fulfill his mother's wishes.

Reflecting on the journey, FOLA said he was grateful that his career had continued to grow enough for him to fulfil the promises he made to his mother.

Before his rise in music, FOLA worked as a Bet9ja cashier in Ibadan while pursuing his ambitions as an artist.

His breakthrough came with his music, particularly the success of “Alone”, which helped introduce him to a wider audience. He has since worked with notable Nigerian artists and continued to expand his presence beyond the country featuring with top tier singers.
