Financial Stability Should Come Before Marriage, Nancy Isime Says
Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has weighed in on the connection between money and marital happiness, insisting that a relationship strained by poverty cannot offer real joy.
The actress spoke on a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, where she addressed the idea that love alone is enough to sustain a marriage.
According to Isime, marriage should not be treated as a way out of financial hardship, and she does not believe a woman can find happiness married to a man who is poor.
She explained that financial strain takes a toll on couples, noting that unpaid rent, school fees, and an empty kitchen make it nearly impossible to enjoy family life.
Isime clarified that she isn't dismissing the role of love in a relationship, but stressed that love and a fantastic life are not the same.
She advised couples planning to marry and start a family to first attain a reasonable level of financial stability.
