Femi Adebayo is working on a sequel to 'Seven Doors,' his award-winning directorial debut.

The Nollywood actor and producer disclosed this during an appearance on VJ Adams Live, which aired on YouTube earlier yesterday.

Adebayo explained that he was already rewatching the original series as part of his preparation for the follow-up. He said he typically revisits his past projects before starting a new one, a method he applied ahead of the ‘Jagun Jagun’ and ‘Ageshinkole’ sequels.

He added that he also goes through audience reactions, both positive and negative, to guide improvements on future projects.

‘Seven Doors’ premiered on Netflix on December 13, 2024. The six-part mini-series marked Adebayo's debut as a director and is set in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State. It follows Adedunjoye, played by Adebayo, tracing his rise to the throne and his turbulent reign as king.

The series went on to dominate two major awards in 2025. At the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards, it won Best Lead Actress and Best Lead Actor.

At the Best of Nollywood Awards, ‘Seven Doors’ claimed four wins, including Best Series, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, and Best Special Effect.

No release timeline or details on the cast and plot for the Seven Doors sequel have been disclosed yet.
