Diddy Sent To Solitary Confinement After Prison Fight At Fort Dix
Convicted American rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs has been placed in solitary confinement following a physical altercation with a fellow inmate at his federal facility in New Jersey.
Combs reportedly clashed with another inmate this week at FCI Fort Dix after the inmate made a disparaging remark toward him, according to multiple US outlets citing sources familiar with the incident. The exchange escalated into a scuffle before prison staff intervened and separated the two men. Sources told TMZ that Combs "held his own" during the brief fight.
Following the incident, Combs was moved into isolated confinement, commonly referred to among inmates as "the hole." It remains unclear whether he was still being held in solitary as of Friday, and he could face further disciplinary consequences depending on how prison officials assess his role in the altercation.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has not confirmed details of the incident, telling reporters it does not release information on individual inmates' disciplinary matters or confinement conditions for privacy and security reasons. Representatives for Combs have not commented publicly.
Combs was convicted last year on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, though he was acquitted of the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges he originally faced. He is serving a 50-month sentence and was transferred to Fort Dix, a low-security facility housing around 4,000 inmates, in October 2025. His legal team had requested the transfer to access the facility's drug rehabilitation program and to ease family visitation.
Combs is currently scheduled for release in February 2028, a date that could move earlier depending on good-behavior credits and completion of prison programs.
