Nigerian singer Davido has said he will take a break from music to focus on politics in Osun State. He made this known while speaking at a political gathering in Ede, where he pledged support for Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the next election.

According to him, the decision is not just about family ties but about continuing the work already started in the state. He expressed confidence that the governor deserves another term to complete ongoing efforts.

During the event, Davido was introduced as a key figure in a youth-focused campaign team. The group is expected to mobilise support across communities and encourage wider participation, especially among young people.

He also urged members of the team to engage directly with residents at the grassroots level. He emphasised the need to speak clearly about the government’s work and connect with voters across all parts of the state.
