Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced his sixth studio album, ORIADE, scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.

The title is a portmanteau of two Yoruba words, "ori" meaning head or destiny, and "ade" meaning crown. The release coincides with the 15th anniversary of Davido's music career.

He announced on Monday with a cinematic teaser on social media. "ORIADE 31st July. The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne. Pre-order my new album now," he wrote.

"Over fifteen years ago, I decided to trust something I couldn't fully explain. I just knew music was my destiny. ORIADE is a celebration of the journey that led me to where I am now," he told Billboard.

The album will contain 13 tracks, making it the shortest studio album of his career. His previous albums all contained 17 tracks.

Davido said the project will be a return to his roots. "The recent music I've been working on is really, really African. I'm taking it back to my original Davido kind of music," he said.

ORIADE is led by the single "I Know Who I Be," released on June 26, and follows his 2025 album 5ive. Earlier this year, Davido made his Coachella debut and featured on the official FIFA World Cup 2026 soundtrack alongside Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado.
