Davido advises people to keep records of their kindness
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has advised people to keep records of the help they render to others, saying acts of kindness can sometimes have unexpected consequences.
Davido gave the advice during an appearance on The Uncut podcast while speaking about the unpredictable nature of life.
The singer said people could never know where their kindness might eventually lead them, noting that it could either work in their favour or against them.
“In life, you never know where your kindness can take you. It can either take you up or down,” he said.
He then urged people to document the assistance they provide to others.
“That is why when you help people, always keep receipts. Don’t play with me,” Davido added.
His comments have since sparked reactions online, with some netizens agreeing that keeping records of assistance can be useful, while others argued that acts of kindness should be done without expecting anything in return.
