Court Adjourns Assault Lawsuit Against Odumodublvck to October
A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned an assault and battery lawsuit against rapper Odumodublvck until October 13 and 14, 2026, after his defence counsel requested more time to prepare.
The suit was filed by musician Levi Ogbogiri, known as Kraziecent, who alleges that the rapper assaulted him without provocation at a public event on December 16, 2024. Ogbogiri claims he was taking photos and videos when the incident occurred, leaving him with physical injuries, emotional distress, and a damaged iPhone 15 Pro Max.
At Tuesday's hearing, claimant's counsel Uchenna Ojembe told the court his client was present and ready to proceed. Defence counsel Damilare Adeojo sought the adjournment, citing insufficient preparation time. Ojembe opposed the request and asked the court to impose a N500,000 cost penalty on the defence. The court declined and granted the adjournment.
It is not the first delay in the proceedings. An earlier hearing in May was stalled after the defendant's legal representative failed to appear.
Presiding Judge Adeyemi Ajayi fixed October dates for continuation. When the matter resumes, the claimant is seeking damages, medical expense reimbursement, compensation for the damaged phone, and a public apology from the rapper.
