Nollywood actor Charles Inojie has spoken about difficult experiences from his early life, describing how family conflict and rejection shaped his upbringing.

He said he lived with his biological father for only about eight months, a period he described as unstable and marked by constant disagreements within the home. According to him, tensions between his stepmother and his presence led to major family disputes.

Inojie explained that the situation escalated when his stepmother allegedly asked his father to choose between her and him. He said his father eventually sided with his wife, which resulted in him being sent away from the household.

The actor also recalled facing setbacks in his education due to the family situation. He said that after gaining admission into the university, he was advised to postpone his studies so he could wait for his stepmother’s child to be ready for school.

He noted that the request was particularly painful given the age difference between them, as he was significantly older than the child in question. He said the experience left a lasting emotional impact on him.

Inojie’s account highlights the challenges some children face in blended family settings, particularly where decisions within the home affect access to education and stability.
