Burna Boy Set To Headline London Stadium For A Record Third Time In 2027
Burna Boy has announced a third headline show at London Stadium, set for 2027, extending his standing as the only African artist to sell out the 80,000-capacity venue.
The Port Harcourt-born singer announced on his X account on Monday. "So excited for 2027! London Stadium III and Much More announcements for y'all," he wrote, adding that further details would follow in the coming weeks
The announcement came hours after Burna Boy unveiled a custom diamond-encrusted pendant to mark his two previous sold-out shows at the venue, reportedly containing 600 carats of natural VVS diamonds and a kilogram of gold.
Burna Boy first headlined London Stadium in June 2023 as part of his Love, Damini tour, becoming the first African artist to sell out the venue. He returned in June 2024 for another sold-out show on his I Told Them tour. The stadium, home to West Ham United since 2016, has hosted few non-football acts at that scale, making his return for a third run a notable marker in his career.
The announcement caps a strong year for the singer. His collaboration with Shakira, "Dai Dai," was adopted as the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and has surpassed 500 million YouTube views and 280 million Spotify streams, while also going gold in France, extending his record as the most certified Nigerian artist in the country. He was also recently named the best-selling African artist of all time by data aggregator Chart Master, which credited him with 14.46 million equivalent album sales, and was announced as executive consultant on the soundtrack for the upcoming Children of Blood and Bone film adaptation, working alongside fellow Nigerian artist Tems.
