Nigerian singer Burna Boy has publicly thrown his support behind dancer and hypeman Poco Lee following reports surrounding his arrest in the United Kingdom.

In a message shared online, Burna Boy revealed that Poco Lee personally contacted him to inform him about the situation. According to the Grammy-winning singer, he immediately began reaching out to people he knows in the UK to see how he could help.

Burna Boy explained that he was not in the country when Poco Lee first contacted him but said he was now in the UK as the matter remained under investigation.

While making it clear that investigations were still ongoing, Burna Boy said the information available to him had led him to believe that Poco Lee did not commit the alleged offence.

The singer also spoke about his personal relationship with the dancer, describing Poco Lee as someone who has consistently shown him respect and loyalty.

For Burna Boy, that relationship appears to be part of the reason he has chosen to publicly stand by him during the ongoing situation.

Burna Boy further disclosed that efforts were being made to secure Poco Lee's release. He expressed confidence that progress would be made, although the screenshot did not provide details about the alleged offence or the specific circumstances surrounding the arrest.

Reports about Poco Lee's detention in the UK first began circulating in August 2026. His associates later confirmed that he was being held on remand, while UK court proceedings involving him were scheduled to continue at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.

More recently, the court confirmed that Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, faces five sexual offence charges: one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. These are allegations that have not yet been proven in court, and Poco Lee remains legally presumed innocent.

His representatives have also pushed back against some claims circulating online, particularly reports linking the case to alleged drink spiking, saying those claims are not part of the allegations before the court.

As the matter is reportedly still under investigation, the full details of the case have not been established publicly, and Poco Lee's legal situation will likely become clearer as more information emerges.
