The sister of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has alleged that her car was damaged by suspected Lagos touts after they mistakenly identified her as the music star.

Sharing the incident on social media, she said the group repeatedly shouted Ayra Starr's name while surrounding her vehicle. According to her, the situation escalated when they allegedly damaged her car after she did not give them money.

Describing the experience as upsetting, she wrote that the incident was made worse because the individuals believed she was her famous sister.

In another post, she raised concerns about the growing activities of street touts in Lagos, alleging that motorists driving expensive vehicles are often harassed and pressured to give them money, with some vehicles reportedly vandalized when drivers refuse.
