Nigerian singer and Grammy Award nominee Asake has emerged as Nigeria’s most-streamed artiste for the first half of 2026, recording 681.36 million streams between January and June, according to TurnTable Charts.

Asake finished ahead of Wizkid, who recorded 455.98 million streams, while Seyi Vibez ranked third with 449.99 million streams. The figures put Asake more than 225 million streams ahead of Wizkid during the six-month period.

The singer also featured on Nigeria’s most-streamed song of the period, “Jogodo,” his collaboration with Wizkid, which recorded 60.7 million streams. Other Asake collaborations, including “Turbulence” with Wizkid, also appeared among Nigeria’s most-streamed songs.

Asake rose to mainstream prominence after signing with YBNL Nation in 2022 and released his debut studio album, Mr. Money With the Vibe, that same year. The album produced popular songs including “Olorun,” “Sungba,” and “Peace Be Unto You.” He has since released Work of Art in 2023 and M$NEY in 2026, establishing himself as one of Nigeria’s leading Afrobeats artistes.
