Afrobeats star Asake has officially cancelled his upcoming concert at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, which was scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Ticket buyers received notices confirming that the event has been called off and that full refunds will be automatically processed back to their original payment cards within five business days.

The sudden cancellation has sparked intense debate on social media, with critics claiming low ticket sales forced the singer to pull out, while fans insist the event was nearly sold out. Neither Asake nor the event organizers have offered an official explanation for the move.

The Los Angeles date was a key stop on Asake’s 13-city In God We Trust World Tour, which kicked off in July and supports his album M$NEY. Known for filling massive global venues, including back-to-back sold-out dates at London's O2 Arena and New York's Madison Square Garden, cancellations of this scale remain rare for the YBNL signee.

Despite the unexpected setback in California, the remainder of his global tour itinerary, including major arena stops across North America and Europe, is expected to proceed as planned.
