‎Alex Ekubo, also known as Alexx Ekubo-Okwaraeke, passed away on May 11, 2026, at age 40 after battling advanced metastatic kidney cancer. A beloved Nollywood star, he was known for his standout roles, charm, and philanthropy. He won Best of Nollywood Awards Most Promising Actor in 2012 and remained a fan favorite throughout his career.
