Actress Mo' Bimpe Speaks Out On Social Exclusion During Infertility Struggle
Nollywood star Mobimpe Oyebade-Adedimeji, has spoken out about the painful social exclusion she faced while waiting to have children.
The actress shared her experience on Instagram after returning home from a child's birthday party, revealing how the celebration brought back bitter memories of her past fertility struggles. She disclosed that acquaintances intentionally stopped inviting her to family-centered events simply because she was childless.
"There was a time when I wasn't invited to baby showers, naming ceremonies, children's birthdays, or anything related to kids," she revealed. "Later, I found out that some people intentionally left me out because I didn't have children."
Mo' Bimpe married her colleague, popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji, in December 2021. Following their high-profile wedding, the couple faced persistent public scrutiny and pregnancy rumors from fans and media outlets. Her recent reflection comes shortly after the couple welcomed triplets, turning her years of waiting into a celebrated personal victory.
Addressing the public, the actress urged people to stop isolating women dealing with fertility challenges, emphasising that exclusion only deepens the pain of waiting.
"A woman without a child is not less deserving of love, friendship, inclusion, or celebration," she wrote.
She closed her message with an encouraging note to women currently trying to conceive (TTC), assuring them that "what feels delayed is not denied".
