Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has unfollowed his wife, Natasha Osawaru, on Instagram and refollowed his former wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, more than a year after their separation.

The social media changes were noticed days after a reported confrontation between 2Baba and Osawaru at the opening of 90s Lounge in Abuja, where the singer was billed to perform.

According to accounts circulating online, Osawaru arrived at the nightclub with several men and approached 2Baba’s vehicle, leading to a confrontation that reportedly required the intervention of police and security personnel. An eyewitness account shared online claimed that Osawaru demanded to speak with 2Baba after arriving at the venue.

Following the reported incident, 2Baba was said to have told Osawaru that he no longer wanted to continue their relationship. By Sunday, checks on his Instagram account showed that he had unfollowed Osawaru, although she was still following him at the time.

On Monday, another change was noticed when 2Baba and Annie began following each other again on Instagram. The pair had unfollowed one another after 2Baba announced their separation in January 2025.

2Baba announced his separation from Annie in January 2025 and later confirmed his relationship with Osawaru, an Edo State lawmaker. He proposed to Osawaru in February 2025, and the pair held a private traditional wedding in July of the same year.

Rumours of a reconciliation between 2Baba and Annie had also surfaced in July after a video purportedly showing the former couple together circulated online. The two, however, dismissed the speculation, saying the footage was old.

Amid the latest reports about his marriage to Osawaru, 2Baba has now spoken publicly about the situation without directly naming his wife. During a recent appearance, he said:

“Going forward, I’ve decided not to look for trouble again.”
