Tinubu Visits Jos, Promises Stronger Security After Deadly Attack
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has visited Jos, Plateau State, to console victims of the recent deadly attack that claimed several lives and left many injured.
During the visit, Tinubu met with families of the victims, traditional leaders, and state officials, expressing sympathy over the tragedy. He admitted that no amount of money can truly compensate for the loss but assured that the government would continue to support those affected and work to prevent a repeat.
Speaking directly to victims, he described the pain as heartbreaking and promised that efforts were underway to restore peace in the state. He also stressed that his administration was elected to deliver peace and stability, not to react after tragedies occur.
Tinubu called on security agencies to step up their efforts, urging them to track down those responsible for the killings. He recalled that Jos was once a peaceful city and said it deserves to return to that state.
As part of measures to improve security, the President announced plans to deploy thousands of surveillance cameras across the country to help security agencies detect and respond to threats more quickly.
