Gehgeh sister donation has sparked conversations online after content creator Emmanuel Obruste, popularly known as Gehgeh, announced that he increased financial support for his younger sister, Precious, by adding ₦5 million to an existing ₦1 million contributed by Nigerians, bringing the total to ₦6 million.

He made the announcement in a video where he confirmed that the money is meant to help his sister establish herself financially. He also said the transfer was completed during the recording.
According to him, the initial ₦1 million came from public contributions, while his personal addition raised the total support to ₦6 million.

Gehgeh stated that he was present with his manager during the transfer process and expressed appreciation to those who supported the initiative.

However, he attached conditions to the financial assistance. He said his sister must give regular updates on how the money is spent and is expected to achieve financial independence within one year. He also added that she should be able to support other family members after becoming stable.

The content creator also addressed criticism surrounding his actions, insisting that he has long played a financial role in his family’s life, even before gaining public attention.

He claimed he has supported his siblings over time, including paying for medical expenses and sending money regularly to family members.

Gehgeh explained that he sees family responsibility as a long-standing duty and not something new to his current level of fame or income.

He also made remarks about financial independence in relationships, stating that individuals should take responsibility for their personal needs rather than depend on partners.

Despite the controversy, he maintained that his support for his sister is based on love and responsibility, not pressure, adding that he will continue to assist his family within his means while encouraging financial discipline.
