The mother of reality TV star Ilebaye has defended her daughter after fresh accusations surfaced online from the BBNaija star’s father. 

In a viral audio recording, Ilebaye’s father accused the reality star of neglecting him despite winning the BBNaija All Stars grand prize in 2023. He also alleged that she failed to assist with his medical treatment and made other claims about her lifestyle. 

Reacting to the allegations, Ilebaye’s mother, Lami Calista, said her daughter had contributed heavily to her father’s medical expenses over the years. According to her, Ilebaye paid for medical trips to India and spent more than N30 million on his treatment. 

She explained that the reality star reportedly gave her father N7 million for treatment in 2023 and later sent another N5 million during a subsequent trip. She added that an extra N3 million was later provided after he complained the amount was insufficient. 

Calista also dismissed claims that Ilebaye underwent cosmetic surgery, describing the allegation as false. She questioned why a father would publicly make statements capable of damaging his daughter’s image. 

Addressing another allegation involving Ilebaye’s younger brother, the mother said the teenager was never expelled from school over drug-related issues. She stated that the incident involved an empty shisha pen found in Ilebaye’s room and maintained that the matter was resolved after school authorities investigated it. 

She further said the accusations had deeply affected the reality star emotionally, especially claims linking her to drug use.
