The father of former BBNaija winner Ilebaye Odiniya has broken his silence following domestic abuse allegations involving their family.

In an emotional audio statement shared online, Hon. Odiniya claimed the situation between him and his daughter became difficult after her victory on the reality show. He said their relationship reportedly changed after she gained fame and public attention.

According to him, he fully supported Ilebaye during her journey on BBNaija and even used his connections to help mobilise votes for her both within and outside Nigeria. He also stated that he invested heavily in her education and personal growth while raising her.

The politician further alleged that tensions later developed between them over her lifestyle, friendships and personal decisions. He claimed there were heated confrontations in the family and accused the reality star of refusing to support him financially during a medical trip abroad.

He also alleged that issues within the family began affecting younger siblings.

However, the claims remain one-sided for now, as Ilebaye has not publicly responded to the specific accusations made by her father.
