Asake Unveils Fourth Album “M$NEY”  Blending Spirituality & Global Sounds

Afrobeats star Asake has officially dropped his fourth studio album M$NEY, a project that highlights both his artistic growth and global influence. The album arrives under GIRAN REPUBLIC in partnership with EMPIRE.

The project’s artwork stands out, featuring a sculptural piece inspired by Asake himself, created by Arthar Jabar. The visual reflects not just his image, but also the cultural weight he carries in today’s music scene.

M$NEY spans 13 tracks and opens with a choir-led introduction, immediately setting a reflective and almost spiritual tone. Across the album, Asake blends multiple influences—from orchestral elements to energetic dance rhythms—while maintaining his strong African sound.

Speaking on the project, Asake explains that the album is deeply personal, shaped by gratitude, faith, and his life journey. He experiments with different sounds while staying grounded in his identity, allowing listeners to experience both growth and authenticity.

The rollout for M$NEY began earlier with singles that hinted at its direction. “WHY LOVE” introduced a softer, emotional side, while “BADMAN GANGSTA” featuring Tiakola delivered a genre-bending vibe, drawing inspiration from Amerie’s classic “1 Thing.” Another standout, “WORSHIP,” sees Asake teaming up with DJ Snake to create a high-energy, cross-cultural anthem.

Themes of reflection and growth run deep across the album. On tracks like “GRATITUDE,” Asake touches on the pressures that come with fame, encouraging resilience and appreciation despite criticism. Meanwhile, “FORGIVENESS” dives into self-reflection, as he acknowledges past mistakes and embraces personal growth.

Since breaking into the mainstream in 2020, Asake has steadily built a global presence. He now holds the record for the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats chart and remains one of the most streamed artists in Nigeria on Spotify.

This latest release follows his joint project REAL, Vol. 1 with Wizkid, further cementing his place as one of Afrobeats’ leading voices.
