Portable VS Charles Okocha Rematch, Set for July 31
Portable will face Charles Okocha again in the ring on July 31.
The celebrity boxing rematch holds at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Balmoral Promotions announced the fight on Instagram. It is tagged "Unfinished Business."
The card also features Taiwo Agbaje against Tope Musa, a featherweight rematch nearly eight years after their first meeting.
"Africa, the stage is set. Now, we settle the score. Portable. Charles Okocha. Agbaje. Musa. Four fighters. One ring. No more talk," the promoters wrote.
Portable enters the fight off his first career loss. Carter Efe beat him by unanimous decision across three rounds at Chaos in the Ring 4, ending Portable's unbeaten run and taking his celebrity boxing title.
Before that loss, Portable held wins over Okocha and Speed Darlington, earning him two belts.
Portable and Okocha first fought in 2023 after a business dispute between them turned public. Portable accused Okocha of cheating him out of money from a deal.
That fight went four rounds at Landmark Beach, Victoria Island. Both men appeared exhausted by the end, and Portable was awarded the win.
Okocha rejected the result and has demanded a rematch ever since. July 31 gives him that chance, while Portable looks to bounce back from his loss to Carter Efe.
