Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has received two social impact recognitions from Israel Tribune and 90210 Enterprise.

Omotola announced the honours on Sunday, September 27, revealing that she received a Social Impact Award and a Lifetime Social Impact Recognition.

The actress shared news of the recognitions while reflecting on her decision to donate the proceeds that accrued to the producers of her 2026 film, Mother’s Love, to Slum2School Africa.

Mother’s Love grossed ₦103,094,663 during its Nigerian cinema run. Omotola later disclosed that ₦22,276,558 accrued to the producers after deductions for exhibitors, distributors, print and advertising, VAT, entertainment tax, withholding tax and other cinema charges.

The actress confirmed in August that the entire ₦22,276,558 was donated to Slum2School Africa, an organisation focused on supporting education for children in underserved communities.

According to Omotola, The Nile Entertainment, the film’s distributor, transferred the money to Slum2School Africa on July 7, 2026.

She said her production company, RedHot Concepts, would follow up with the organisation to monitor how the funds are used to support the education of children from underserved communities.

The donation followed an earlier commitment made by Omotola in March, when she announced that 100 per cent of the proceeds accruing to her and RedHot Concepts from the Nigerian theatrical run of Mother’s Love would be donated to Slum2School Africa.

Released in Nigerian cinemas on March 6, Mother’s Love marked Omotola’s feature directorial debut. She also produced the film through RedHot Concepts, with The Nile Entertainment handling its Nigerian distribution.

The film stars Olumide Oworu, Noray Nehita, Ifeanyi Kalu, Lilian Afegbai and Nosa Rex, among others.
