‘I Want to Start Acting in Movies’, Davido Says
Davido has revealed that he is considering a career in acting, saying he plans to feature in films in the future.
The Afrobeats star made the disclosure during an interview on The Breakfast Club, where he said acting is one of the goals he hopes to pursue alongside music. According to him, several members of his family are already involved in the Nigerian film industry, making the transition a natural one.
"My director has been begging me for years. I can act. I just haven't had the time," Davido said, adding that he intends to begin taking acting roles.
The singer also pointed to his family's involvement in film production, noting that his cousin, Folasade Adeleke, popularly known as Adenike, is a filmmaker, while another cousin, Tunji Adeleke, serves as chairman of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board.
Davido has previously appeared in music videos and television productions, but he said he is now looking to take on acting roles as part of the next stage of his career.
